I'm not of Asian descent. Can I still join?

Yes. Nationality and ethnicity do not affect eligibility. The K-POP industry is increasingly global, and agencies actively seek trainees from all backgrounds.

Absolutely. MUDOCTOR has trained and debuted over 65 boy idols across multiple K-POP groups. Participants are grouped for tailored training.

What languages are supported for direct application?

English and Japanese. Korean speakers are also welcome to apply in either language.

Will I need to submit a pre-camp video?

An optional 30-second to 1-minute self-introduction video is requested at application. It is NOT used for selection — it helps our team form balanced training groups in advance. Anyone within the age range can join regardless of video quality.

What if my Korean and training levels are beginner?

All levels are welcome — from complete beginners to former trainees. Teams are formed to balance levels (see above), and personalized feedback is provided throughout the week.

How many auditions will I take part in?

Up to three. Two private 1:1 auditions with agency staff, plus the All-in-One Casting with 75+ agencies. A team and individual portfolio video is also shot by our PD team and featured on MUDOCTOR's official YouTube channel, where partner agencies scout for ongoing casting after the camp.

What is the All-in-One Casting?

Korea's largest K-POP joint audition event, created by MUDOCTOR in 2012. Over 75 agencies — including SM, JYP, YG, HYBE labels, and more — attend in person. Participants perform on stage and agency staff make real-time casting decisions on site.

Does joining guarantee I'll pass an audition?

No. Final results are determined by each agency. We provide professional preparation and full support to help you perform at your best.

Will I be featured in video content?

Yes. The camp produces an official content series — team videos, individual portfolio videos, and behind-the-scenes sketches. All produced content belongs to MUDOCTOR. Videos are uploaded to MUDOCTOR's official YouTube channel, where partner agencies scout participants beyond the camp itself.

How are meals provided?

Meals are provided every day of the camp — lunch and dinner on arrival day, all meals during the full training days, and breakfast and lunch on the final day. Meals are designed to support physical and vocal performance. Allergies and dietary restrictions are collected at registration and accommodated.

How hot will it be in August?

Seoul and Busan in August average 26–31°C (79–88°F) with high humidity — temperatures and conditions are similar across both cities. Most training is indoors with air conditioning. We recommend breathable training wear, an extra change of clothes, and a small umbrella.

What do I wear on Day 6 for the All-in-One Casting?

You wear your own performance outfit for the casting stage. Styling guidelines are shared with confirmed participants in advance. Hair and makeup is provided by our partner salon on the morning of Day 6.

What is the refund policy?

The deposit is non-refundable once paid. The remaining balance is refundable according to our refund policy up until the camp start date. After the camp begins, no refunds are issued. If you cannot attend, please contact us through WhatsApp or LINE as early as possible — earlier notification allows for more flexible handling.

Do minors need parental consent?

Yes. Participants born in 2008 or later must submit a signed parental consent form before attending the camp.

Questions from Applicants

Yes. For 2026 Summer, our age range extends through 23 (individual review through 25). All participants join the All-in-One Casting, which has no age restrictions. Some agency in-house auditions may have age preferences — a full eligibility matrix will be shared with confirmed participants. Many participants over 19 use the camp to audition with agencies open to mature candidates and explore broader careers in the global K-POP industry.

Yes — for the camp itself, language is not a barrier. English and Japanese interpreters are present during major classes and audition sessions. That said, if you are seriously pursuing a K-POP idol debut and preparing for K-POP auditions long-term, Korean proficiency is highly important. Agencies expect trainees to communicate in Korean, perform Korean-language repertoire, and integrate into a Korean-language working environment. The camp can be your starting point — continued Korean study is part of the long-term path.

Training takes place at your assigned language track center: — English Track → Seoul Gangnam Center — Japanese Track → Busan Center (inside LOTTE Department Store Gwangbok) Both centers provide identical curriculum, training quality, audition opportunities, and final-stage programs. For the All-in-One Casting on Day 6, all participants — both tracks — gather in Seoul. Japanese Track participants travel to Seoul on Day 6 morning, and the full cohort stays in Seoul through Day 7 (portfolio video shoot and closing ceremony) before flying home. Note: depending on operational conditions, the Japanese Track may be relocated to the Seoul Gangnam Center. If this change occurs, confirmed Japanese Track participants will be notified after applications close.

Teams are NOT grouped by skill level. Each team is designed for balanced composition — meaning a single team can include beginners alongside intermediate and advanced participants. This is intentional. Mixed-level teams mirror real K-POP group dynamics, allow mutual learning, and prepare every participant for industry environments where you'll work alongside trainees at varying experience levels. Personalized feedback is provided to each participant regardless of team placement.

Yes. Each participating agency sets its own conditions for the two scheduled 1:1 private auditions — including age and gender restrictions specific to what each agency is recruiting for that period. Because of this, two 1:1 private audition sessions are NOT unconditionally guaranteed. Depending on which agencies are scheduled during your week, you may not be eligible for every session. This does NOT apply to the All-in-One Casting on Day 6 — every participant performs on that stage in front of 75+ agencies with no age or gender restrictions.

K-POP agency auditions typically run in 3 to 4 stages — first round, second round, callbacks, and final audition. Passing a 1:1 Private Audition or the All-in-One Casting means you have cleared the FIRST round with that agency. From there, you'll need to prepare for the second through final rounds of that agency's process. Subsequent rounds may require additional visits to Korea. In most cases, MUDOCTOR helps coordinate scheduling, travel logistics, and trainee handoff for these follow-up rounds. Some agencies prefer to communicate with the candidate (or, for minors, the parent) directly — in that case, MUDOCTOR steps back from coordination but remains available for support if needed.

(FAQ) If You're a Parent

Questions from Parents

At each track center (Seoul Gangnam for English Track, Busan for Japanese Track), a dedicated camp supervisor is assigned full-time to that cohort. This supervisor is responsible for your child from airport pickup through return departure — accompanying participants between training, hotel, meals, and audition venues. Supervisors are MUDOCTOR Academy staff with experience running international cohorts.

Every participant receives a Korean SIM card on Day 1, so you can stay in direct contact with your child throughout the camp. For questions or concerns about the camp itself: — During the camp (August 3 – August 9): camp staff are reachable via WhatsApp or LINE, KST 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, every day — Outside camp dates: WhatsApp or LINE, KST 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday An emergency contact channel is provided for urgent matters outside these hours.

All allergies, medications, and pre-existing conditions are collected at registration and shared with the on-site supervisor and meal team. For minor issues (fever, stomach upset), the supervisor accompanies your child to a nearby clinic at MUDOCTOR's expense. For emergencies, we contact you immediately and coordinate with a Seoul or Busan international hospital. We strongly recommend purchasing your own international travel and medical insurance before departure. MUDOCTOR's responsibility covers on-site supervision and immediate response, but does not extend to international medical evacuation or extended treatment costs.

K-POP audition participation requires submitting the following to each participating agency: — Name, gender, age, height, and weight — Audition video footage Once submitted, this personal information and audition material is managed by each receiving agency under their own data policies. Materials retained by MUDOCTOR (audition videos, portfolio footage) are kept for six months after the camp ends, to support video-based casting and follow-up audition recommendations. After this period, MUDOCTOR removes them from active records. Videos uploaded to MUDOCTOR's official YouTube channel remain published as part of the public archive and are not removed after the six-month period. Because audition participation requires submitting these materials, face visibility and personal data inclusion cannot be selectively withheld.

Yes. MUDOCTOR's regular classes across all centers already include students aged 8 to 13 who commute to the academy on their own, practice, and return home independently. Our facilities and supervision structure are built around the safe handling of young participants on a daily basis. For the Summer Camp specifically, training, meals, and rooms are arranged so younger participants (13–17) are grouped with peers close in age. Auditions and casting events are professional working environments where age mixing is the industry norm — your child performs alongside, but is not left to socialize unsupervised with, older participants. The dedicated supervisor is the constant adult presence across all settings.

The All-in-One Casting on Day 6 is a closed industry audition. Only agency representatives and participants are permitted on-site. It is not a public performance — it is an audition. We also do not allow visitors during training days (Days 2–5), as the presence of family members changes the dynamic of the rehearsal environment. If you plan to be in Korea that week, our team can advise on appropriate times to spend with your child outside training hours.

The 2026 Summer Camp offers two language tracks. Both centers deliver identical curriculum, training quality, audition opportunities, and final-stage programs — including All-in-One Casting, professional styling, and video recording.
