Who can join?

Accepted Answer

Non-Korean nationals born between 2003 and 2013 — ages 13 to 23 during camp week — of any gender and any background. You do not need to be of Asian descent, and boys are welcome. Born in 2001 or 2002? Contact us before you register.

Question 2

Is there an audition to get in? What level do I need to be?

Accepted Answer

There is no entrance audition and no screening. Seats are first come, first served until each track fills, and every level is welcome — complete beginners train beside people with years of experience. Coaching is given individually, so nobody is held back or left behind. In return we ask one thing of everyone: respect the person next to you, whatever their level, age or country.

Question 3

Why is the camp in winter? Should I wait for the summer one?

We would rather answer this plainly. K-POP agencies weigh age heavily when they evaluate a trainee, and they think in birth years, not birthdays. Someone who auditions in December 2026 is read as a 2026 applicant; the same person auditioning next summer is read a year older, with the same voice and the same training. That is the real reason this camp runs in winter — it is the last casting stage of the year. This does not mean there is a cutoff: we take participants through age 23, and skill closes gaps a birth year cannot. It only means that if you were already going to do this, December is worth more than August.

Question 4

I don't speak Korean. Is that a problem?

Accepted Answer

No. 72% of last camp's participants spoke little or no Korean. Interpreters are present in every major class and in both of your auditions, and choreography is demonstrated as much as it is explained.

Question 5

Is this a trip to Korea? Can I sightsee?

Accepted Answer

No. Training, auditions and the stage fill every day from morning to night. There is no tour schedule, no shopping day and no free afternoon built into the week — the only outing is a short evening tour on Day 6, after All-in-One Casting is over. Participants who want to see Korea usually add days before or after camp. We will gladly advise, but camp week is for work.

Question 6

How many auditions do I get, and what is All-in-One Casting?

Accepted Answer

Two 1:1 Private Auditions, on Day 3 and Day 5, each with staff from an entertainment agency. Then All-in-One Casting on Day 6 — one room, 75+ agencies present at the same time, where your team is called up and performs. Every participant gets both private auditions and a place on that stage. Nothing is earned by competition inside the camp.

Question 7

Does joining guarantee I'll pass?

Accepted Answer

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Casting decisions belong entirely to the agencies. What we do guarantee is that you will be seen — twice in private and once on stage — and that you will leave knowing honestly where you stand.

Question 8

What happens if an agency is interested in me?

Accepted Answer

Agencies contact MUDOCTOR and we pass the approach on to you, or to your guardian first if you are under 18. Some invite you to a further audition, some to a trainee evaluation, some ask for more material. Nothing is agreed on your behalf.

Question 9

How are teams formed? Do I need to send a video first?

Accepted Answer

No pre-camp video is required. Teams are formed on site in the first days, within your track, based on what the coaches see in the opening sessions. You perform as a team at All-in-One Casting and you are also filmed individually on Day 7.

Question 10

What do I wear on stage?

Accepted Answer

Your own stage outfit for All-in-One Casting — it is the one thing you bring yourself, because it should look like you. Guidance is sent after enrollment. Hair and makeup on Day 6 are done by a professional salon and are included.

Question 11

What is included in the fee?

Accepted Answer

Everything on the ground: seven days of Vocal and Dance Training, six nights in a 4-star hotel in twin rooms, all meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 7 lunch, airport pickup on arrival, interpreters, both 1:1 Private Auditions, All-in-One Casting, Hair & Makeup, the Team & Individual Video Shooting and a Korean SIM card. Not included: flights, the transfer to the airport on departure day, travel insurance, personal expenses and your stage outfit. There is no upselling on site.

Question 12

How do I pay, and when is my seat actually secured?

Accepted Answer

Payment is taken at the end of the registration form, in the same sitting, by PayPal or international bank transfer. Card payment is coming soon. Super Early Bird ($2,250) and Early Bird ($2,375) are paid in full; Standard ($2,500) takes a $700 deposit now and the $1,800 balance by Thursday, November 5. Submitting the form reserves nothing — the seat is secured only when the payment completes. Bank transfers take one to three business days to arrive, so when a tier is close to selling out, PayPal is the safer route. Transfer and processing fees are paid by the participant.

Question 13

Do I need a visa?

Accepted Answer

Participants from visa-waiver countries (US, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, most of Europe) enter as short-term visitors. We provide an enrollment letter on request, but visa arrangements remain your responsibility. Note that a visa refusal is treated as cancelling for personal reasons under the refund schedule, so start early if you need one.

What is the weather like? What should I pack?

Seoul in early December sits around freezing and often below. Training, hotel and venue are close together so you spend little time outdoors, but bring a real winter coat. A full packing list, including what to bring for the stage, is sent after enrollment.
